Figure Drawings from the past couple of weeks. I think these were both all day poses. The top one is from last week and the bottom is from ... 3 weeks ago? I can't remember. I like the top one better, the bottom is kind of cartoony or something, maybe it's the foreshortening.. and the line weight? I'm not sure. Oh! All of my figure drawings have been about 18 x 24"... if anyone was wondering. I think I'm finally getting comfortable in this class... my teacher likes my drawings now aaand the model told me she liked my shoes, what a nice lady! Now, if my other teacher stops telling me that my drawings are "cold" just like I am (not in a nice way), I'll be floating on a cloud of bliss. Can't win 'em all.
I'll be posting my finals in the next couple of weeks once they're all finished!
Anybody get that title reference?
I was waiting for these things to be up! I really like the one you did in class last week, so nice. Im really kind of excited to see what you have been working on for our final drawing, mine is up in the air right now, like i like it because its drawn a bit differently but Im applying mediums on top of the actual drawing so Im kind of on edge to what might happen.
ReplyDeleteWow, weird! I'm doing the same thing... with watercolor I think. But yeah, it's scary! I feel like mixed mediums can look really awesome, but it's unnerving to not know how it will end up until you actually see it finished. I've been putting it off until I have no choice but to just do it Haha... I can't wait to see yours!

Its like i did the drawing so theres a part of me that just wants to be like "yeah i can live with that" then theres the other thats like "IT NEEDS MORE!!!" haha So we will have to wait until the color goes down which is tomorrow to see if I completely blow it or not. Im sure yours will be great im excited to see it, and we can compare techniques in class or something.
